4. Various schemes of government of west

5. Services/ Departments which are
under miscellaneous, names of ministers who are in-charge of those departments independent
or with senior ministers.
6. Full and minute details of
candidates’ own district, historical places, and founder associated if any. Name
of MLA MP DM SP and BDO in you are in village/block.
7 Details of international
organisation like WHO, UN, WTO, World Bank, IMF, FIFA, ICC. (Head office,
chairperson, job etc)
8. On the day of personality test, you
must read headlines of newspaper.
9. Recent/old appointments by
government of west Bengal on constitutional or other important posts like chairman
and members of PSC, state election commissioner, vice chancellor of
universities etc.
10. Places which are of historical
importance in west Bengal like “Chandraketugarh, tamralipta” etc. in details.
11. Fundamental rights, preamble, DPSP
from polity must be memorised by article. Panchayet and municipality should
also be read.
12. RTI act and its application in our
present life as well as new case studies.
13. Social media, women empowerment,
reservation of SC ST OBC, you must know in details
14. Constitutional provisions and
amendment relate to EWS (Economic weaker section).
15. Phrasal verbs, idioms, idiomatic expressions,
similar meanings, one word substitution, antonym from English.
Before you enter interview room keep
these in mind.
1 You must take permission either in
English or in Bengali.
2. You must not sit, until you are
asked to do so.
3. One must answers questions calmly
with precision but not in hurry or shaky voice, do not get tensed or sweating. If
there is any sneeze cough or fart you should say ‘sorry’ or ‘excuse me’.
4. If you don’t know answer to any
question you should say “Sorry sir I don’t know or I cannot remember now” but
you should not lie and or try to make an answer.
5. Do not argue or make any counter
logic to the interview board, even if they are wrong you should just agree to
it.
6. If there is any women member in the
interview board, you must greet her first and then others. Finally when you are
returning you should greet her first then others.
7. Take an extra full sleeve shirt
with you to PSC office. If your shirt gets dirty due to dust, sweating or any other
reason, go to washroom in the PSC building and change to new/other shirt
Light colour shirt with dark trouser or check-shirts can also be used.
